About AND1Reviews.com

Independent basketball shoe testing. No brand deals. No sponsored reviews.

Who We Are

AND1Reviews.com is an independent review site run by recreational basketball players. We're not affiliated with AND1, its parent company K-Swiss Global Brands, or any retailer. We don't receive free shoes or payment from manufacturers. Every review is based on testing we paid for ourselves.

AND1 has been part of streetball and recreational basketball culture for decades, yet most online reviews are either brand marketing or brief forum posts. We set out to build the resource we wish existed: detailed, honest assessments of AND1's lineup compared against competing brands at similar price points.

Our Testing Methodology

Every model we review is tested across four performance dimensions:

Traction

Tested on hardwood (indoor) and concrete (outdoor). We measure slip resistance during lateral cuts, stops, and pivots over a 4-session period. Scores reflect performance on both surfaces unless otherwise noted.

Cushioning

Assessed during 2-hour sessions for heel impact on jumps, lateral step-in cushioning, and forefoot responsiveness. We note break-in period (most AND1 shoes require 3-5 sessions to soften).

Durability

Each shoe is worn for a minimum of 20 court hours. We inspect outsole wear, upper fabric integrity, insole compression, and midsole deformation. Scores reflect expected lifespan at 3 sessions/week.

Value

Performance relative to retail price. We compare against Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour models at the same price point. A shoe scoring 95 in value outperforms its price bracket significantly.

Our Score System

Scores are on a 1-100 scale within AND1's typical price bracket ($20-80). These are not absolute scores comparing AND1 against Jordan 1s or Kobe Protros — that would be unfair. We score AND1 models against shoes in the same price range.

Editorial Policy

Reviews are updated when new models ship or when we gather additional data from extended testing. We note the last-verified date on each page. If AND1 discontinues a model, we mark it accordingly but keep the page live for archival reference (many models remain available on Amazon for years after discontinuation).

We do not accept sponsored content, paid placements, or brand-provided samples. If this policy changes, it will be disclosed prominently at the top of affected content.

Amazon Affiliate Disclosure

AND1Reviews.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an Amazon link and make a purchase, we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This commission helps keep the site running. It does not influence our scores or recommendations — we would not recommend a product we wouldn't buy ourselves.
